The link to the movie is here http://player.discoveryeducation.com/index.cfm?guidAssetId=0DD54AFB-0841-4ED0-8A63-3706F655C6C6&blnFromSearch=1&productcode=US The movie is a segment of a movie that would be too long for this lesson. I use this movie and this site for introductory or ending points for some of my lessons in health. It is a pretty good sight and I think our district belongs to it so we get to use it free. The video I use introduces the five senses to the class with some brief descriptions of the five and then the lesson will continue afterwards. This lesson for me is three to four classes depending on time of classes. The link for the crossword in the lesson I normally use wasn't working so I found this one and it seems to work. I normally have the students do the crosswords and they seem to like that for the most part.
I would use the KWL chart to see what the students know about the senses and want to learn and then have the class fill out what they have learned at the end to see where I could improve on for next time. This is a good self check for me for the students that answer it honestly. I am going to attach the lesson in word and see if that works.
